Confessions 101
This page explains everything you need to know about anonymous confessions.
What are confessions?
Confessions are something like secret messages that users give to bot and bot convey to the servers. Confessions are meant to be secret meaning there is no way across the entire bot to know who posted a confession. Not even server moderators nor server owner can know who posted a confession.
How are confessions anonymous?
To explain how they are anonymous see these points:
Neither server moderators nor server owner can know who posted the confessions. This is not even behind a paywall meaning they can't see the confessions author in literally any way!
To help the moderators maintain a good environment, Sly allows to mute a confession but muting and unmuting is done using the confession ID. There's no way moderators can know who posted the confession even if they attempt to mute a confession.
How do we report/mute bad confessions when knowing the author is impossible?
Sly allows you to mute a confessions without knowing or revealing the author by simply using the confession ID with is a 4 digit number on title of every confession.
Furthermore, if a confession is breaking bot's rules (i.e Homophobia, or any kind of hate) The bot developers or the bot maintainers have the access to the confessions database. This means, you can report a confession in our support server and we will review that report. If eligible, we will blacklist confessions author across the bot and they will not be able to use confessions again.
Great! I want to add confessions to my server!
Add Sly to your server and see Setting up confessions page.
